What content can be protected on
ArtistScope CD? For example, can we use Flash movies, avi's, mpegs, etc?
And do the images need to be JPG or GIF only?

If you have a web site, the whole site can protected on ArtisCD.
The content that you can protect is anything that can be displayed from a web page using a web browser... this includes html,
JavaScript, Flash movies, animated gifs, etc.
You can also use java
applets providing they are not the type that will only run on a registered web site (may need to register them for use on "localhost").
If image types other than JPG or GIF can be displayed in a normal web browser, you can use them also.
Adobe PDF files can be viewed within a browser and can be used... anything that will run from your web site can be displayed and protected in
ArtistScope CD!

What about MPEGs, AVI's and sound files?

Files such as MPEGs do not actually run from a web page. Usually a link is provided on the page, but then the file is loaded into a separate application such as movie viewer, which is outside the realm of ArtisCD because it is not part of the web browser.

I have a dynamic web site which builds pages on the fly. For example I have a catalogue system written in CGI that creates the product pages from a database. If I can use this content it would save a whole lot of time building new pages for each product. Can it be done?

Yes and no. We would have to see exactly what you have, what type of scripts are being used and the type of database used.
If your catalogue system is protected with specific licensing to a domain, it may not run. But if it is a generic script that will run anywhere, it may be possible. Further enquiries regarding special
customizations of this nature should be directed to our support team. Nothing is impossible.

I have a VB6 application that I will be selling. Will any of your products protect my software from capturing my jpg or avi images? My software gets executed from a CD.

Any content delivered from web page links can be run/viewed from ArtistScope CD and thus protected from extraction and further copy protected using Copysafe Pro. Avi files can be embedded in the CD compilation, however avi files are viewed in a separate application (not a web browser) and once opened in that application they are outside the protective realm.
