How is the content protected and what measures have been taken to protect the content residing on the CD? For example, if a user doesn't use a browser to read the CD, can they search the content using a file explorer?

ArtistScope CD uses an exe file and a data resource, both of which are encrypted, undecipherable in edit view and compiled as single resources. The data in the CD files cannot be extracted.

But when viewed using a Windows web browser, as with the content of any web page, images, pages and page content including text can be saved by various methods available in every browser as standard. To further protect that content you can use either Secure Image Pro or Copysafe Pro (or any other system).

All Windows browsers including Opera, Internet Explorer and Netscape... all versions from 4.0 and later which make up for 95% of all Internet users.

Mac users are not supported and there are no plans to support this minority due to the development costs being prohibitive. Anyway, Mac users connected with Internet activities may not be left out of your CD distribution, as most will have a Windows machine somewhere for checking their web sites or running applications not available on Mac.
