This is what my webmaster told me about
Copysafe. I was interested in protecting some prepublication book text on my site. Is the info below correct?
"If you want this software on your website it will completely
irritate visitors because they will have to download a plug-in from
ArtistScope in order to view it. This plug-in will install components in your web browser that make the
ArtistScope claims work. If you use Netscape you must restart your browser in order for the plug-ins to work as well."

Hmmm... "completely irritate visitors"???
When this person visits an art gallery, are they "completely irritated" because they must stand behind a roped area and not maul the painting being gazed upon?
Only
Netscape 6 and 7 need restarting. But they are rubbish browsers anyway. 4.7 works fine and they should never have messed it up.
What it comes down to... if someone wants to exhibit images on the web, they must be prepared to offer them for copying and be used in any project at all without their permission. Because without protection, that is what happens! But if your images need protecting, you can use our solution and without the measures wet take, you wouldn't be protected.
If you have clients or visitors interested in seeing your images for some reason or another, they will abide by whatever restrictions you
emplace.

I wouldn't worry about "webmasters" have to say. They are the worst predators anyway. They don't
license software and tend to help themselves from client web sites.
